There are 12 vacancies for the post of Health Officer through Tamil Nadu Government Staff Selection Commission.
Education Qualification:-
1. Must possess MBBS degree awarded by the Tamil Nadu Dr.M.G.R Medical University or by any other University recognized by the Medical Council of India.
2. Must be a Registered Medical Practitioner within the meaning of the Tamil Nadu Medical Registration Act, 1914 (Tamil Nadu Act IV of 1914)
3. Must possess Diploma in Public Health awarded by the Tamil Nadu Dr.M.G.R Medical University, Chennai or by any other University recognized by the Medical Council of India
Must possess M.D.(Social and Preventive Medicine/Community Medicine) degree awarded by the Tamil Nadu Dr.M.G.R. Medical University or by any other University recognized by the Medical Council of India:
Or
Must possess Diplomate of National Board in Community Health Medicine awarded by the National Board of Examination, New Delhi;
Or
Must possess Master of Public Health degree of any University recognized by the Medical Council of India; Provided that if candidates with the qualification specified in item (c) above are not available for appointment by direct recruitment, candidates who possess the qualifications
specified in items (a) and (b) may be appointed, subject to the following conditions, namely:-
(i) They shall acquire the said qualification within the period of their probation. Failing which, the appointing authority shall forthwith, by order, terminate their probation and discharge them from service;
(ii) They shall execute a bond undertaking to serve the Government till they retire from service on attaining the age of Superannuation.
Age Limit:-
As on 01.07.2022, the age of the interested candidates should be maximum 37 years. Also refer the official notification for details about age relaxation.
Salary: –
Health Officer – Rs.56,900 – 2,09,200/-
Selection Process:-
Candidates will be selected through computerized test and certificate verification. The computer-based exam is scheduled to be held on 13.02.2023.
