The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) has recently announced that there are a total of 5529 vacancies to be filled for various posts through TNPSC Group 2 & Group 2A examinations.
Education Qualification:-
Applicants should possess the following or its equivalent qualification awarded by any University or Institution recognised by the University Grants Commission. [According to G.O. (Ms) No.139, Personnel and Administrative Reforms (Per.M) Department, dated 07.10.2009 (Refer Annexure-V). The applicants who possess the Professional Degree are eligible to this recruitment except for the posts of Assistant Section Officer in Law Department in Secretariat and Assistant Section Officer in Finance Department in Secretariat and Junior Cooperative Auditor in Cooperative Audit Department]
Age Limit:-
For all posts (Except Probation Officer in the Department of Prisons and Correctional Services) – 18 Years
Sub-Registrar, Grade-II in- 32 Years
Registration Department – 20 Years
Probation Officer in the Department of Prisons and Correctional Services – 22 Years
Salary: –
Applicants who are selected for the post of Industrial Co-operative Officer (Industries and Commerce Department) will be paid a minimum monthly salary of Rs. 7,200 / – to a maximum of Rs. 1,17,600 / – as per Level-19.
Grade-II Sub Registrar, Assistant Inspector of Labor (Labor Department), Probation Officer (Prison Department), Junior Employment Officer (Employment and Training Department) (Non-Differently Abled) and Probation Officer (Social Defense Department) According to Level-18, the minimum monthly salary is Rs. 36,900 / – and the maximum is Rs. 1,16,600 / -.
Grade-II Municipal Commissioner, Special Assistant (Vigilance and Anti-corruption Department), Assistant Section Officer Cum Programmer in TNPSC, (Finance Department in Secretariat) – Assistant Section Officer, (Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly Secretariat) – Assistant Section Officer, Assistant Section Applicants selected for the post of Officer in TNPSC and (Law Department in Secretariat) – Assistant Section Officer will be paid a minimum monthly salary of Rs. 36,400 / – to a maximum of Rs.
Assistant Inspector in Local Fund Audit Department, Audit Inspector (Audit Wing of Hindu Religious & Charitable Endowments Administration Department), Supervisor of Industrial Co-operatives, (Industries and Commerce Department), (Handlooms & Textiles Department) -Handloom Inspector, (Department of Registrar of Co-operative Societies) – Senior Inspector of Co-operative Societies, (Milk Production and Dairy Development Department) – Senior Inspectors and Supervisor / Junior Superintendent (Tamil Nadu Agricultural Marketing / Agricultural Business Department) According to Level-11, the minimum salary is Rs. 35,400 / – and the maximum is Rs. 1,12,400 / -.
Audit Assistant (Accounts Branch of Highways & Rural Works Department) and Executive Officer, Grade-II in Town Panchayats Department Salary is to be paid.
Applicants who are selected for the post of Revenue Assistant (Revenue Department) will be paid a minimum monthly salary of Rs.20,600 / – to a maximum of Rs.65,500 / – as per Level-10.
Selection Process:-
TNPSC Group 2 (Interview Posts): Preliminary exam, main written exam, and Interview / Personality Test will select qualified and talented individuals for the job.
TNPSC Group 2A (Non-Interview Posts): Qualified and talented persons will be selected for the job through Written Test.

Applicants should apply only through online mode in the Commission’s websites www.tnpsc.gov.in or www.tnpscexams.in
“One Time Registration” using Aadhaar is mandatory before applying for any post.
Applicant should register only once in the One Time Registration by paying Rs.150/- as registration fee. Successfully registered One Time Registration is valid for five years from the date of registration.
All the applications should be submitted using the One Time Registration ID and password registered by the applicant.
To apply under One Time Registration System, applicants should have a scanned image of their photograph, certificates specified, if any, and signature in CD/DVD/Pen Drive to upload the same, as per the specifications given in the guidelines for scanning and uploading of photograph and signature.
