ICMR-National Institute of Epidemiology has released a notification to fill the vacancies for the post 15 Project Technical officer, Project Scientist, Project Data Entry Operator, Project Semi Skilled Worker, Project Computer Programmer, Senior Project Research Fellow & Project Personal Assistant. In this employment notification, a total of 15 vacancies are to be filled for the above jobs. Education Qualification:-
1. Project Technical officer (Statistics):-
Qualification: Statistics/Biostatistics/Mathematics from a recognized university with three years relevant work experience from a recognized institution. (OR) Master’s degree in Statistics/Biostatistics/Mathematics.
Desirable Qualification:
Knowledge of data handling, analysis and interpretation, report writing. Knowledge of Computer Application. Use of Statistical packages in handling large volume of Health Data.\
2. Scientist C (Medical):-
Qualification: MBBS Degree with 4 years’ experience in Community Medicine, Preventive & Social Medicine, Public Health, Community Health after MBBS degree OR Post Graduate Degree (MD/DNB) in Community Medicine, Preventive & Social Medicine, Public Health, Community Health after MBBS degree with one year of experience OR Post graduate diploma in Public Health subjects/MPH/MAE after MBBS degree, with two years of experience.
3. Project Scientist – B (Non-medical):-
Qualification: First class Master’s degree in Statistics/ Biostatistics from a recognized university with 2 years R&D/ teaching experience in the Health Research. (OR) Second class Master degree with PhD. In Statistics/ Biostatistics from a recognized university.
4. Project Scientist – C (Medical/ Non-medical):-
Qualification: MD in Preventive and Social Medicine/ General Medicine/ Paediatrics’ with one year relevant experience OR MPH/DPH following MBBS with two years relevant Page 4 of 16 experience OR MBBS Degree with 4 years relevant experience. (ALL Medical degrees should be NMC recognized)
5. Project Scientist – C (Non-medical):-
Qualification: BDS Degree recognized by DCI with five years’ experience in Public Health/ Epidemiology. OR 1 st Class Master’s Degree in Epidemiology/ Public Health/ Data Sciences/ Microbiology/ Biotechnology with 4 years public health/ medical research experience OR 2 nd Class Master’s Degree in Epidemiology/ Public Health/ Data Sciences/ Microbiology/ Biotechnology + PhD with 4 years public health/ medical research experience.
6. Project Data Entry Operator:-
Qualification: Intermediate or 12th Pass from recognized board. A speed test of not less than 8000 key depressions per hour through speed test on computer.
7. Project Data Entry Operator:-

8. Project Technical Assistant (Lab):-
Qualification: Graduate in Microbiology/ Medical Laboratory Technology from the recognized university with 3 years work experience from recognized institution OR Masters in Microbiology/ Medical Laboratory Technology from recognized institution.
9. Project Semi Skilled Worker:-
Qualification: High School or equivalent.
10. Project Computer Programmer (Grade – A):-
Qualification: Master’s Degree in Computer Application / Information Technology /Computer Science from a recognized institution / university (OR) B.E. or B.Tech in Computer Engineering / Computer Science / Computer Technology / Information Technology from a recognized institution / university.
11. Senior Project Research Fellow:-
Qualification: Post Graduate Degree (M.Sc) in Microbiology / Virology / Medical Lab Technology / Biotechnology qualification.
12. Project Personal Assistant:-
Qualification: Graduation in any discipline from a recognized university with 5 years’ work experience in administration/ Accounts & Finance works at recognized institution.
13. Project Scientist – B (Non-medical) (Lab):-
Qualification: First class Master’s degree in Microbiology/ Medical Lab Technology/Virology/Molecular Biology from a recognized university with 2 years R&D/ teaching experience in the Relevant subject. (OR) Second class Master degree in Microbiology/ Medical Lab Technology/Virology/Molecular Biology + PhD from a Recognized university in the above subjects.

2. Scientist C (Medical) – 40 Years
3. Project Scientist – B (Non-medical) – 40 Years
4. Project Scientist – C (Medical/ Non-medical) – 40 Years
5. Project Scientist – C (Non-medical) – 40 Years
6. Project Data Entry Operator – UR: 25 years SC: 30 Years
7. Project Data Entry Operator – 28 years
8. Project Technical Assistant (Lab) – 35 years

Important Note:-
The Upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST; 3 years for OBC, 10 Years for Persons with Disabilities (15 years for SC/ST PWD’s & 13 years for OBC PWD’s) and for Ex-S as per Govt. of India rules.
Salary: –
1. Project Technical officer (Statistics) – Rs. 35,000/- Per Month
2. Scientist C (Medical) – Rs. 83,080 /- per month (including HRA)
3. Project Scientist – B (Non-medical) – Rs. 48,000/- Plus HRA per month
4. Medical: Consolidated salary Rs. 64,000/- plus HRA per month
5. Project Scientist – C (Non-medical) – Rs. 51,000/- Plus HRA per month
6. Project Data Entry Operator – Rs. 17,000/- per month
7. Project Data Entry Operator – Rs. 17,000/- per month
8. Project Technical Assistant (Lab) – Rs. 31,000/- Per month
9. Project Semi Skilled Worker – Rs. 15,800/- per month
10. Project Computer Programmer (Grade – A) – Rs. 32,000/- per month
11. Senior Project Research Fellow – Rs. 35,000/- Plus HRA
