Education Qualification:-
Assistant Planner – Must possess a Master’s Degree or an equivalent Diploma in Town & Country Planning or must be an Associate member of the Institute of Town Planners (India) (or) Must possess B.E. (Civil or Highways) or B.Arch. degree or be an Associate member of the Institute of Engineers in the Civil branch and must have experience in Town and Country Planning work for not less than five years, after acquiring the qualification.
Planning Assistant – Must possess a Master’s Degree or an equivalent Diploma in Town & Country Planning or must be an Associate member of the Institute of Town Planners (India); (or) Must possess B.E. (Civil or Highways) or B.Arch. degree or Associate member of the Institution of Engineers (India) in the Civil branch.(or) Must possess Post Licenciate Diploma in Town and Country Planning, awarded by the State Board of Technical Education, Tamil Nadu and must have experience in Town and Country Planning work for not less than two years.(or) Must possess L.C.E. or D.C.E. or D.Arch. or an equivalent qualification recognized by the State Government and Must have experience in Town and Country Planning work fora period of not less than 4 years.
Age Limit:-
OC –Â 18 – 32 Years
BC, BCM, MBC & DNC-Â 18 – 34 Years
SC, SC (A), ST-Â 18 – 37 Years
Salary: –
Assistant Planner –Â Rs.56100 – 177500/- (Level-22)
Planning Assistant –Â Rs.37700 – 119500/- (Level-20)
Selection Process:-
Selection will be done on the basis of a Computer Based Test
Written Exam –
i) Paper-1 Tamil Language Test – 100 Questions – 100 marks (Only qualifying exam) (Syllabus 10th Std level)
ii) Paper-2 Technical Test – 100 Questions – 95 marks
Syllabus – The question papers for both the posts will be based only on the subject of planning. Only the standard of difficulty will vary between the papers for both the posts.
(Paper – 2 Technical Test will be evaluated only for candidates who score a minimum of 40% marks in Paper –1 Tamil Test)
iii) Interview – Certificate verification/ Oral Test
Application Fees:-
The candidates belonging to OC / BC / BCM / MBC&DNC need to pay Rs.500/- and those belonging to SC/SC(A)/ST / Ex-serviceman / Differently abled need to pay Rs.250/- as Application Fee only through Online mode.

Therefore, the candidates are advised to exercise due diligence at the time of filling their online Application Forms. Applications submitted through any other mode will be duly rejected.
